Lisa R. Gray

Professionally, I am a Ordained Chaplain, Minister, and Professional Counselor. I have been a Foster parent for a number of years until this came to light.  My passion is always in helping others to succeed, encouraging and helping no matter where that takes me. 

I truly believe you cannot get to your destination when you are always focused on your mistakes and your past. We can't focus on what didn’t happen the way you wanted or expected it to, who didn’t treat you right, on and on and on…I believe you have to get on with the job of living, no matter what.  For me you can do that knowing the Jesus Christ does not continually beat me up over my mistakes, I can come to him, acknowledge my mistakes, and live in the freedom of what lies ahead, without the condemnation of IF ONLY!

I’ve worked with little children through adults, lots of teenagers, I give tough love when it’s appropriate, I ask a lot of questions, for self-discovery, I give lots of hugs, now in this age I send texts to check in with people. I send cards and notes to let those who are near and dear know they matter.

I have a love for adolescents and teenagers, for those who are grieving losses, for those who have been sexually violated and do not understand their value, and worth.  I am called to the Mothers who like myself did not know their own child did not have a safe haven at home, and now walk around with that guilt.  It’s important for the Mothers to be free of that guilt.

I really enjoy romance movies, reading books, studying theology, psychology, and playing with my granddaughter…watching her blossom.
